Who Can Use VISTA? VISTA focuses on delivering application specific information to customers of Planning, Development & Assessment. A permit holder is able to log on to VISTA using their Job Access Code (JAC) to view the information pertaining to their permit. To book inspections, the customer must be a registered user and log on with a user ID and password.
Where do I find my JAC number? Although the Planning, Development & Assessment business unit manages many types of applications, not all types are available for tracking at this time. If your Planning, Development & Assessment application has been made accessible to the web site, you should find the Job Access Code (JAC) at or near the bottom of your application form and other documentation that you have received from us, along with the location of the web site. Examples of the JAC number are BP2004-00243-28456, BL82386-66802, DP2004-0765-58173.
Why can't I see my old applications?
For ease of use and to support optimum performance levels, the site will only provide access to current applications and those that have been completed in the last 90 days.
What is a Registered User and how do I become one?
Registered Users are granted a User ID allowing access to a complete list of their available applications that are in progress, thereby eliminating the need for individual JAC entries. As such, Registered Users are customers that conduct business with The City of Calgary. In the case of subdivision, all applicants must be registered users. It normally takes 2-3 business days to process at which time you will receive an e-mail indicating your User ID and temporary Password. Registered User Account Application Form.
